We have short time to stay, as you,
We have as short a spring;
As quick a growth to meet decay,
As you, or anything.
This week another bank came to visit and find out more about the technology companies being formed here. They want to grow with the entrepreneurs, and help them through each stage of their funding, leveraging their angel round money, helping fund their cash flow as they start to do bigger projects and supporting them as they go international.
Technology stocks did well in 2009, rising 59% against an S&P average of 24%, and some are predicting an active year of technology mergers and acquisitions in 2010. Cambridge is a familiar place for technology funders - this bank has half a dozen technology clients here already - but they want to engage with more.
This is all good news for those of our members who identify finding funding as the main block on their growth. We'll hear more about the ways that technology entrepreneurs are finding growth capital in a debate on 16th March.
